Bytes and steel
Always wanted to try a welder of wield the awesome plasma cutter? Cant wait to create a steel and data chimera? Love to see steel burn? We got you covered!
The workplace will be open during the whole camp. There will be four main types of activities:
- Basic welding / plasmacutting / grinding / working with metal workshop for newbies, explaining the safety and the basics.
- Extreme case-modding for anybody who brings their metal PC case with them and dares...
- Building a collaborative techno-art piece for the Syn2Cat hackerspace. For inspiration, the one at RevSpace looks like this
- Everything else...
All will probably take place simultaneously ;)
I will bring a "mobile metals workshop" with me, consisting of welding and cutting equipment, welding and cutting tables, various power tools and small hand tools, and all the scrap metal that I can find. Anybody who wishes to to join and hack along is very welcome. Especially if you bring tools/materials/mad metal sk1llz! ;)
